SCOTLAND - The land of Whiskey, Castles, Bagpipes & Scottish Kilt~

As mentioned earlier in my post, me friend and I planned a road trip up north to the Land of Whiskey - Scotland. Our plan is to drive through the Island from South to West, North to East. We hired a Peugeot, pumped a full tank and off we depart earliest in the morning.

We drove a total of 24 hours from South to North, stopping by every point with Nice View or Famous Spot introduced by 'Lonely Planet' (what else?) travel guide; putting up our first night far north.

Along the West way, it was a spectacular mountains and valley view. I was humming the song ''Ain't no mountain high enough - by Marvin Gaye'' when we drive through it. Best describe my feeling at that point. It showers a bit during the 1st half of the day, but eventually we manage to get a bit of a sunshine near evening time, which put a golden finish touch on the Mountains and Valley.

Down from the mountain, driving from north towards west, an extend of flat land caught our eyes on both side of the road. It was amazing, as it's like you could never see where it ends,  till 'infinity' i would say.

We were also out in the oceans to see Dolphins & Sea lions. A nice but expensive trip but worth it.
The place name John O' Groats. and it's said to be the most northerly settlement of mainland Great Britain (天涯), starting from the point at southern region of Great Britain, Land's End (海角).

Of course not missing the famous Lochness where the mysterious stories of the Nessie Monster took place in. Although i find it quite fake and the place has become a seedy tourist trap.

We end our trip in Edinburgh, enjoying the lights and sounds of the city, GOOD FOOD such as typical  Scottish Haggis, whiskey, goat cheese etc etc....

I Miss Scotland!!

The best Goat Cheese Salad i ever tasted !

Haggis !! my Favourite !!!

Few of the places that we dropped by during our 4 days trip : Glasgow and Clyde Valley, Isle of Skye, Dundee, Ullapool, Scottish highlands , John O' Groats, Dunnet Head, Inverness, Lochness, Aberdeen & Edinburgh back to South.

Wish to go back some day ~~~
